NVQ Course Dates

NVQ Level 3 in Learning and Development

Information on course structure:
To achieve a full certificate you are required to complete 7 mandatory units and 4 optional units – 2 from Group A and 2 from Group B.

Evaluate and develop own practice 6/G3 Identify individual learning aims and programmes 10/L3 Agree learning programmes with learners 12/L5 Develop training sessions 13/L6 Create a climate that promotes learning 16/L9 Monitor and review progress with learners 23/L16 Respond to changes in learning and development 25/L18

Optional units
4 optional units must be chosen. 2 of these optional units must be from Group A,
and two from Group B.

Group A Enable learning through presentations 17/L10 Enable learning through demonstrations and instruction 18/L11 Enable individual learning through coaching 19/L12 Enable group learning 20/L13 Group B Either: Assess learners using a range of methods 1/A1 or: Assess learners’ performance through observation 2/A2 (N.B. Please note only one of the above 2 units may be chosen) Design learning programmes 11/L4 Prepare and develop resources to support learning 14/L7 Support learners by mentoring in the workplace 21/L14 Support and advise individual learners 22/L15 Support competence achieved in the workplace 27/L20 Support how basic skills are delivered in the workplace 30/L23 Support people learning basic skills in the workplace 31/L24
